Our Company

Crock A Doodle was founded in 2002 by marketer, Annette Brennan. Her vision was to create a brand that would bring people together in a meaningful way, inspiring creativity, nurturing together-time and promoting a sense of creative accomplishment.  In order to share the fun and grow the business, Annette developed a unique business model that had home based franchisees and DOers offering a mobile pottery painting program in communities across Ontario, and beyond. The early years of brand building, concept development and marketing strategy refinement provided a solid platform for business growth.

In January 2009, Crock A Doodle granted its first retail franchise to Marianne Gignac in Tecumseh, ON, who was passionate about testing the business concept in a retail format.  Together, Annette and Marianne worked to shape the retail model, establishing store design, point of sale systems, merchandising etc. to ensure that the brand translated brilliantly in a retail setting. In July of the same year, Crock A Doodle opened its second retail studio in the Village at Blue Mountain, Collingwood Ontario, creating an opportunity to further refine the retail systems and build widespread awareness for the brand.

By August 2009, Annette welcomed Marianne and her husband Mark Goulet as business partners in Crock A Doodle Inc.  Their experience and success with the first retail franchise, combined with their passion to grow the business and live the mission, prompted their decision to become co-owners in the company.  Together the team is committed to creating a strong and sustainable national franchise program and sharing the remarkable concept across Canada.
